The future home of the Peña family — North Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity’s first home building project in Woodburn in nearly a decade — is one step closer to reality.
NWV Habitat hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday morning at the future site of the house, located on Brown Street in Woodburn. It will be the Mount Angel-based nonprofit’s 44th home build, but the first in Woodburn since 2007. The completion of its 43rd home was celebrated in Silverton last month.
