2018 Women Build Weekend

Clad in bright pink shirts and tool belts, more than 30 women worked together to frame and raise the walls of a four-bedroom house in Mt. Angel as part of North Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build Weekend Sept. 7-8.

A lot can happen in three years, just ask Jessica Bomar, a young, single mother of three children.

“We were living in a tent, then a homeless shelter and then we got here, so this is kind of a finality for us,” Jessica said as she wrapped her arm around her youngest child.

House that Beer Built Fundraiser

Did you know that you can help fund our next Habitat home by purchasing a summer beer passport? For $25 you get a pint at more than two dozen participating pubs/breweries/restaurants in the Valley. All proceeds benefit North Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity. Passports are valid until Aug.

Single Mother and Son Move Into Habitat Home

This is why we do what we do. Single mother, Kim Betker, and her 11-year-old son, Shawn, received the keys to their Habitat home on May 16, 2018, during a dedication ceremony attended by more than 50 people, including family, friends and the hardworking volunteers who made this all possible.
