Oregon lawmakers joined Habitat leaders, volunteers and partner families today for the Cost of Home campaign launch in Salem, Ore.
As temps soared past 90 degrees, the crowd gathered underneath tents and the shade cast by the Oregon State Capitol building.
Senators Shemia Fagan and Tim Knopp suited up with hard helmets and gloves to participate in a nail hammering competition. Sen. Knopp claimed a narrow victory.
